# Datasets

How to create, explore, and manage the datasets used in a Cleyrop project, whether they come from a local import, a Datasource, or the catalog.

In Cleyrop, a Dataset represents a structured data set that can be used for analysis, transformation, or visualization.

Each project can create or reference its own datasets from different sources:

* Local file import (CSV, Excel, etc.);
* Authorized internal or external data source;
* Shared data catalog at the platform level.

Once created, datasets can be explored, updated, exported, or published to the catalog to be reused in other projects.
